Our Free Healthcare & Eye Camps
In communities where healthcare is a luxury, Nirmala Foundation brings relief, treatment, and hope—completely free of cost. Our healthcare camps are set up in areas where people struggle with poor vision, untreated illnesses, and no access to doctors or medicines.
We believe that good health is the first step toward a dignified life. Whether it’s a routine eye check-up or a lifesaving medicine, every bit of care matters to someone who cannot afford it.
Our healthcare camps focus on:
- Free eye check-ups and treatment
- Distribution of essential medicines
- Doctor consultations for poor and elderly
- Spreading awareness about preventive care and hygiene
Here are three recent camps that brought healing and hope:
Free Eye Camp – Shiv Vihar, Delhi (August 2022)
Held in the narrow lanes of Shiv Vihar, this camp served over 200 people, many of them elderly, daily wage workers, and women from underprivileged backgrounds. Most had never had an eye test before in their lives.
Highlights:
- Free eye check-ups by certified optometrists
- Distribution of prescription glasses for weak vision
- Free eye drops and medicines provided to all patients
- Special focus on senior citizens and daily laborers
- Volunteers helped manage queues and assisted patients with paperwork
For many, this camp brought back not just their vision—but also confidence and independence.

Free Eye Camp – Shiv Vihar, Delhi (June 2024)
Returning to Shiv Vihar after two years, this camp was even bigger. With improved logistics and local support, we were able to help nearly 300 people, many of whom remembered us from the 2022 camp.
Highlights:
- Free eye exams and consultation with trained professionals
- Spectacles provided to children, workers, and elderly residents
- On-site eye pressure tests and cataract screenings
- Distribution of hygiene kits and eye care guides
- Dozens of follow-ups scheduled for serious cases
This camp proved the power of continuity and trust—we weren’t just visitors; we were part of the community now.
Free Medicine Distribution – Janta Camp, Pragati Maidan (September 2024)
In the dense settlement of Janta Camp, we organized a one-day medicine distribution drive where more than 250 individuals received the help they needed. Many were battling untreated fevers, infections, and chronic conditions—without the means to buy medicines.
Highlights:
- Free doctor consultations and basic health checkups
- Distribution of antibiotics, fever reducers, pain relief, and multivitamins
- Focus on women, infants, and the elderly
- Hygiene awareness and proper dosage instructions were shared
- Follow-up visits and referrals for further care were arranged
For families choosing between food and medicine, this camp brought peace and healing they couldn’t afford.

Why These Camps Matter
These healthcare camps do more than just offer medicine—they restore hope, dignity, and basic rights. Yet, we are still only scratching the surface.
Here’s what we’re facing:
- Hundreds more people are waiting for eye care and treatment
- Many poor families still live without basic medicines or checkups
- We don’t have enough doctors or funds to run these camps regularly
- We often run short on spectacles, testing equipment, and medicine stock
Every time we organize a camp, the need is greater than the supply.
How You Can Help Us Reach More People
We want to expand our healthcare efforts—but we can’t do it alone. You can help in several ways:
💰 Donate to help us buy medicines, eye testing kits, and reading glasses
👩⚕️ Volunteer your medical skills—if you’re a doctor, nurse, or pharmacist
📍 Host a camp in your area—we’ll provide doctors, supplies, and support
👐 Spread awareness and help us reach new communities in need
One pair of glasses. One strip of tablets. One day of your time. That’s all it takes to change someone’s life.
